My wife has decided that I need a new smaller cage . Until now the 2 cages I have, have been locked with a pad lock. I never trusted the pad locks that come with the cages . They felt cheep and weak. So I bought a Master Lock suite case lock of the same size.
We found a smaller cage that we both like, but it comes with a barrel lock. I know I have read somewhere in CM that some poor souls have had problem with them unlocking.
I guess my question is?
- Do you have problems with the barrel locks?
Define "barrel lock".
Barrel locks, IMO, are the best. Nothing to rattle. Many of the cheap Chinese devices that use barrel locks are keyed the same. I bought 2 totally unrelated devices and they are the same key. I’ve never had any trouble with unlocking but even if it did it’d be unlikely to slide out so the cage would still essentially remain locked.
