Hello all! I got a really interesting note from a self-locked submissive man seeking my advice and perspective on his situation, but before I reply directly to him, I want to hear what everyone else thinks. The reason for asking is that it has genuinely caught my attention and sparked some curiosity in me. I don’t want to offer my own guidance until I’ve gathered opinions from other Mistresses and subs to see if we are on the same page. So, here’s the gist of it: there’s a submissive who shares a loving, committed non-sexual partnership with his partner. He is eager to serve his Goddess, but (just like me back in my day) she isn’t particularly keen on this kind of lifestyle. Consequently, he has taken matters into his own hands and self-locked himself, even though his Mistress doesn’t seem fully onboard with the concept. That’s how I understand it from his letter—a very condensed version of events. So essentially, I have two ways of looking at this. The first view is that if she isn’t interested, he shouldn’t impose this lifestyle on her since it wouldn’t be truly consensual, and he should consider that she might feel uneasy about it. My reasoning comes from my own experience many years ago when I felt quite uncomfortable with similar situations. My second perspective is that, given he has already acted independently, why not elevate the situation and really help her embrace her role as Goddess? He clearly holds her in high esteem. Maybe he could create his own schedule where he handles everything at home by doing all the chores, massaging her feet constantly, cooking meals, buying gifts, or keeping flowers fresh in the living areas, etc.? This way, she can reap the benefits of his efforts without feeling pressured to participate in things she isn’t ready for or finds uncomfortable.
