I’ve just come to see that I’m a genuine service submissive. And, this truth has been hard for me to accept. Am I truly that feeble? Outside of the bedroom, I lead. I am the person others turn to. I pitch major initiatives. I fix issues. I inspire people around me. I create groups, gather agreement, and build things up. I succeed where many fall short. Quality matters deeply to me. Honesty is something I value. People have called my leadership style “soft.” Perhaps too much empathy on display. Still, I can drive others by showing them that the goal aligns with their own desires, not just mine. It only appears soft from the outside. The results speak for themselves when people genuinely want to achieve. Relationships are where I flourish. I feel most at ease when the edges of a connection are clear. Within my marriage, I am opting to follow instead of lead. My goal is service and delighting her. When she takes charge, it feels like the lines have been drawn clearly. There is certainty in that. With that clarity comes patience. Instead of trying to steer her into showing off a dominance she already possesses, I’ve supported her as she finds and acknowledges her own power. As her confidence grows, so does her embrace of sexuality; she expects more now. And this self-assurance isn’t staying confined to our home—it’s radiating outward. It’s lovely to watch. My conclusion is that admitting submissiveness doesn’t make me a weak male. I feel like I’ve uncovered another dimension of myself which makes me emerge stronger and wholeer than before. I embrace my new position. I am a better man.
