Hi everyone. I don’t make it to the site or post as often as I’d like, and I really miss having that support and good counsel when I’m away. Here’s what’s going on:

I’m in my forties with a few health quirks, working full-time, and handling two kids while hubby is gone during the week. At times, both my mental and physical energy dip low. Lately, I’ve been dealing with persistent joint pain. It’s getting frustrating because it keeps me from performing at my best, as they say. I know this impact firsthand; it has affected the last couple of weekends when he was home.

I try hard not to let it interfere between us, but recently it has. Hubby seems a bit bratty and frustrated since he isn’t getting enough attention to stay motivated. On top of that, he’s feeling physically and mentally drained too, and is about to head out for the next two weeks. He had high hopes for this weekend, especially knowing he’d be away soon.

I hate it when he goes off for a long stretch because I get moody and a bit unbearable as well. Unfortunately, our physical struggles and emotional ups-and-downs have collided. The outcome? A messy house, minimal cooperation, plenty of small arguments, and neither of us feels much love right now.

How do you all handle it when these little storms hit at the same time, and how do you get things back on track?
