PA5000 discussion

Here’s a simple DIY tip for anyone whose PAs are bigger than what the standard 5000 model provides. My current one is size 00, so I popped into my local HARD-ware store and picked up a foot of clear vinyl tubing with dimensions 5/16 OD by 3/16 ID (which fit perfectly). A measurement of 5/16 corresponds roughly to size 0 gauge. Unless I come across thicker outer diameter tubing that maintains the same inner dimension while remaining urethra-friendly, this size is good enough for now. I cut a piece about three inches long and used fine wet-dry sandpaper to smooth out the edges before sliding it on. You’ll need to heat it in a pan of hot water and keep it moist so the warmth helps guide it all the way up over the 5000’s ring. Finally, trim off any extra length from the tip. Hopefully this assists someone else in achieving a better fit by plugging that gap. SPA III
