Mature Metal discussion

I’m currently using a Bird-Locked mini and it’s decent, though I’ve noticed some issues. Specifically, my testicles can pull out or burn after wearing it for several hours. From what I’ve read in other threads, the biggest complaint seems to be about the ring itself—keeping the testes from slipping out is key. Recently, this has happened more than once. It looks like if the ring opening is wide enough for the testes to pass through, there’s always a risk of them pulling or slipping free, particularly when things “shrink up.” I’m posting here in the Mature Metal section because it feels open to custom work and design innovation. I’m curious: could careful engineering create a hinged ring that’s small enough to sit snugly around the testes while truly stopping them from pulling out? I’ve had some luck with my current Bird-Locked by adding a standard hose clamp, tightening it so tight that escaping becomes nearly impossible. However, the core design of the BL spreads the testes apart to prevent escape, which unfortunately causes chafing against my thighs. With the skin pulled taut, it’s more susceptible to irritation or damage. I suspect a high-quality hinged ring made from aluminum (or similar metal), featuring very smooth surfaces and tight tolerances to avoid rough edges, might solve this. As a finance professional rather than an engineer, I could be missing something obvious—there may already be devices with this design out there that I haven’t found yet. Like many members here, my keyholder and I want to extend the time I wear my device without sacrificing comfort or security. I’d love to collaborate with Mature Metal on this idea or assist however I can in developing a prototype. Great community!
