I’ve been talking with someone who wants to come on as my live-in maid, catering to both me and my husband. The first hurdle—my husband’s objection—didn’t actually happen, which is a relief. In the medium term, our ‘life plan’ involves moving down to the South Coast for a slower, more relaxed lifestyle. This implies she’ll be relocating too; it feels like the perfect moment to bring her into our household. I’d love to hear what others have experienced with taking on a maid—what worked well, what could have been improved, and so forth. Also, how did you handle having an extra person around all day and night? Thanks:)
