CB Range discussion

I’m wondering whether the sanding of those ridges might be weakening the joints. I haven’t had any trouble with mine personally, though perhaps my ridges aren’t too severe. I’m thinking about switching to a smaller ring; if that ridge starts causing issues, I won’t know for sure whether to have it sanded down or just stick with the larger size.
