I posted a review not long ago where I noted that my current Jailbird is slightly too large across its three key measurements: the cage width, length, and base ring size. One sign of this fit issue is that during showers, when soap makes things slippery down there, the unit shifts downward about 1/4 way along my shaft and hangs awkwardly. Another complication arises when I get aroused while wearing it; the growing erection pushes the cage further from me, yet the cage’s resistance forces much of the engorged penis back inward. Because I have enough room inside to expand somewhat, this leads to a partial erection where the lower base remains exposed by the cage, leaving only the tip curved. I’ve included some rough sketches below to show how things look when soft versus hard. I believe this erectile problem stems from the extra slack in the device. Could someone clarify which of the three primary dimensions (cage width, length, and ring size) matters most here? For instance, a narrower cage that grips firmly as soon as growth begins would likely stop full rigidity from setting in, effectively limiting how far the erection can push against it. I also suspect a snugger base ring could keep everything positioned higher on my scrotum, reducing how much distance the cage creates between itself and my body while adding pressure to discourage swelling. Generally, I feel all three dimensions interact here, but has anyone else dealt with this or have tips? I’m thinking about buying another unit but need guidance on what changes would work best. EDIT: Haha… I totally messed up drawing the base ring in those sketches. Hopefully it’s still clear enough.
