CB Range discussion

Hi all. I haven’t been around much lately.

My partner and I are thinking about giving a CB series lock a try, probably the 6KS model. We feel like the rings that swap out will keep him in place better than the cheap metal one we bought on eBay, which was just too loose for him. Since we’re both students, our budget is tight right now. We know those Chinese imitations of CBs aren’t quite as good quality-wise, but for two beginners who just want to test if the CB design suits them, do you think picking up one of these cheaper options as a trial run makes sense?
