Female led relationships discussion

I lean toward believing that surrendering full authority to another person demands considerable willpower. It appears that in most of my close relationships, the other partner automatically assumes I hold the dominant role. Can we reasonably conclude that meeting someone who is tall, muscular, and outgoing leads people to expect a tendency toward dominance? My sexual nature leans heavily submissive, yet it feels like my character outside those moments creates preconceived ideas about how I think internally.
