Four years of this and not one minute of it in person
- Hoping to find
- one ordinary hour in daylight with nothing attached to it
- Experience
- Four years, three arrangements, all of them conducted entirely by message.
- Somewhere around
- the commuter belt, London
Four years of this and not one minute of it in the same postcode as another person. Three arrangements, one serious enough to run fourteen months with a woman five time zones away, and I have begun to suspect the screen was never incidental to any of it.
Thirty, out in the commuter belt, I work in software and I have the sort of job that would let me live anywhere, which is probably how I ended up doing this the way I have.
I was good at it in the narrow sense. Reliable, punctual, I wrote well, I did what I was asked when I was asked. What I was dodging is every part that would have cost me something. A man who does this only by message never has to be seen doing as he is told by somebody standing in front of him, and I think that is precisely the part I am missing.
So what I would like is to meet, in daylight, for about an hour, with nothing at all attached. If that sounds dull, good. Dull is the point. I have had a great deal of intense and none of it was ever as real as an ordinary hour would be.
Not looking for a woman who wants to keep it online, because I have done four years of that very thoroughly. Not looking to be tested on obedience before we have met. Not looking for anyone who thinks four years counts for nothing, because it taught me plenty, just not the part I need.
