I would like to be useful to a household that already exists
- Hoping to find
- a couple where she leads, and a place in their ordinary week
- Experience
- About a year with a couple who then moved away.
- Somewhere around
- the commuter belt, London
What I would like is to be useful to a couple, in a household where the woman leads, and I will be honest that part of the appeal is that there would be two of them and one of me. I have thought about why for a long time and the nearest I can get is that I want to join something already standing rather than build one from nothing.
Twenty nine, out in the commuter belt, I work in a warehouse on early shifts and I finish by two most days. I have a car. I can be almost anywhere by four in the afternoon.
What I can offer is the practical end of it. Cleaning properly rather than tidying, cooking a repertoire of about ten things well, driving, the garden, and the parts of a week that two working adults do not want to spend a Saturday on. I have done this once, for about a year, with a couple who then moved to Wales.
I would want it clear from the beginning that I am not looking to be paid, kept, or fed by way of compensation, and that I would want it to become a relationship rather than a rota, even if it started as one.
Not looking to come between anybody. I have read enough to know how that goes, and at the start I would want the two of them talking about me far more than either of them talks to me. Not looking to live in. Not looking for a couple where only one of them actually wants this, because I would rather not be the thing somebody agreed to.

Offering to be useful is the position most often taken advantage of, and the one people most often undersell. These three cover both halves of that.
