The offer is a dog, twice a day, every day, without fail, for as long as it is needed. That is an odd thing to lead with on a board like this, and it is also the most reliable fact about me.

Fifty one, Queens, I work nights as a building engineer, which leaves my mornings and afternoons entirely free and my evenings entirely not. I have done this for two women at different times, and in both cases it was how the rest of it began rather than a favour bolted onto something that already existed.

What I like about it, and I have thought about this properly, is that a dog does not care whether I am in the mood. It has to happen at seven and it has to happen at four, and somebody is depending on me for a thing that cannot be moved. That is the whole feeling I am after, and dressing it up in more impressive language would be dishonest.

I would want a woman who leads and who would genuinely use me: a list, a standard, and the expectation that it happens whether or not I feel like it that morning. I would also like to be told when I have done it well, which I understand is not everybody's style.

No money. No keys in the first months. Not looking for anything sexual attached to this and I would rather say so now than have it hovering about. Not looking to be somebody's backup when the usual arrangement falls through. Not looking for a dynamic that needs my evenings, because I do not have any.
